NAMES AND FACES AT FRFC
Cornelius Mulcahy - President for the fifth year. Con continues to support rugby at all levels. Always with a winning word of encouragement and enthusiasm whatever the result on the pitch.
John Body – Chairman. John, having enjoyed his first year as Chairman, is going into his second season with the same passion to keep the club going from strength to strength.
Andy Leaver – Secretary. Still there helping to steer the committee to make decisions and keep the Club on track.
Rhys Pollard – Treasurer. Third year as treasurer, and still sane, Rhys continues to work miracles and do the Club proud, not only with the finances but as a sponsor of FRFC.
Kim Conchie – Vice Chairman. This will be Kim’s first full season as vice chairman. Kim brings with him a sound business mind and fresh ideas. Links in the mini/junior sections will provide the continuity and pathway for our youngsters through to colts and then the senior side
Arthur Williams – Team Manager/Colts Secretary. How many hats does this man have? Arthur is a stalwart of the Club and an inspiration to us all. His business acumen gives him the foresight to tackle areas where most would fear to tread.
David Chatterton – CRFU President. Second year as CRFU President, David is an avid supporter of Falmouth RFC and will be seen at both home and away games, lending his advice and encouragement to players and supporters.
Michael Morris – Sponsorship & Membership Secretary. Continuing his quest to raise support for the players’ fund, Mike is always receptive to new ideas and welcomes any help offered. To become a member or talk about advertising/sponsorship contact Mike on 01326 314273.
David Retchford – CRFU Representative. After completing a very successful and informative first year, David is entering his second year as Falmouth’s county rep. Passing essential information from the CRFU to the club keeps us abreast of the ever changing rules and regulations within the rugby world.
Paul Stephens – Groundsman & Coach. Paul manages to juggle his rugby and cricket life to maintain our pitch to the highest level. This year he will be giving the additional and much needed support to the senior sides.
Hugh Murton – Strong supporter and regular at the Club, Hugh also runs the club gym where a friendly face and good advice can be found most Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Jeff Maddern – Having travelled for a while last season, Jeff is back at the helm with the Colts. Jeff’s former links with Falmouth School and Falmouth RFC gives him the skills and knowledge of both communication with the youngsters and ethos of the Club.
Tim Gay – Player/Coach. Tim’s experiences on the field will no doubt help him make decisions on how to best build on the strengths and abilities of the squad. With a number of new signings Tim will be keen to start the season.
Neville Curnow – Coaching Co-ordinator. Although Neville will be away for a big part of this season he has managed to organise others to enable the teams to continue unhampered throughout the coming season. This season saw Neville organise and partake in the Clubs second very successful Pub 7’s – a feature that is sure to run for many years raising money for the NSPCC.
